Oris 560 7604 4919-07 5 16 61FC wrist watches news:
My first foray into vintage watches - of any kind! 1945 (46?) Roland(?) 14K ygf with 987A movement. Believe it or not I had never heard of Hamilton watches before March this year. Shows what a powerul resource this forum is; absolutely no way I could have made any sort of informed decision without all your help. Tom's pic of his Roland and the various discussions about movements have been invaluable.Must admit to feeling a bit edgy. It's the most I've ever spent on a watch, is the seller legit, is the watch legit - or am I about to have an expensive lesson in vintage watch selection? All part of the thrill of the hunt I suppose. And, the usual question, how to explain it to she who does not understand.....ments please - even if only to gently point out something that may be amiss. The vendor supplied the pic below, apols for the quality - says he will attend to the tarnished second hand and numerals before shipping.stales
Hi, Does any body know whether the Swiss made, German Army WWII Service, Revue Sport D-H watches are traceable to their original owners? I believe these particular watches had to be purchase by an individual for service duties and were not owned by a unit. Where could I start my search, or have all records been lost? Thanks & RegardsAndy
I'm heading out of state for the holidays and wanted to bring some watches, but I dont have a travel case. So, I adapt - I'm using my small travel humidor!Sent from AtlantaDave's iPhone 4 using Tapatalk
Looking for some opinions. Would you trade a Diver on bracelet for a Panda on bracelet? A little backstory -- I've been wanting a Panda since it came out. It's just during the last few months that I grew the cajones to spend money on an AP. I bought the Diver a few weeks ago and added a bracelet. I got it to basically test out the Roo line as I wasnt sure I could live with the size for everyday wear. I figured it would wear almost the same as the chrono and it was a good deal at that time. Grew to love the Diver, but a potential trade for a Panda is possible. So would you guys do it? Unfortunately, I can't have both and saving up and waiting isn't an option (have other responsibilities as the wife says )
Happy Black Friday to everyone!I have a Omega Automatic model 2420/1 bumper wind.Unfortunately the case back ring is missing and I'm not sure if the back is broken to wher it can not even use the ring. Any idea where I could get a back and or a case ring? Any ideas on the value of this watch? It is running and keeping time. This is the ring I need.
