There is often a misconception that content online is either free or up for grabs. Most of us are well skilled in the art of copying and pasting, and we take its functionality for granted. Often times taking other people's content, we seldom stop to think of the implications. Granted, this is not my personal opinion of the appropriateness of such conduct, more an attempt to enlighten those who are not aware of their actions.Whether or not it has an accompanying copyright registration with the Federal Government, all original works of authorship posted online have inherent copyright protection. This means that it belongs to the author who created or owns the content, and that others may not make use of it freely.Essentially, copyright protection means an author of a work has the exclusive right to profit and distribute the work. This includes display of the work. As I stated, there are limitations and exceptions, but the rights of content ownership are paramount to supposed First Amendm
Now this is more than a little spooky. This is my 1221st post on WTF (You'll obviously have to trust me on that in the future ) and I am using it to let you all know that I am now the proud owner of watch number 1221 of the 2005 LE 40th Anniversary Gemini IV Speedmasters. Not sure when I'll be the recipient of it because it is currently in a safe at my usual AD's 200 miles away.Hopefully, I'll either be able to organise a day to go and pick it up or maybe I could get it shipped to my new place of work.Either way it feels great to have captured one of these rareties for my collection.I can't wait to get my hands on it and start posting the compulsary pictures. Thanks for all the advice I received on this guys. It really helped.Y'all have a good weekend.
Just purchased a new Steelfish and would like to remove a few of the bracelet links as it is too large. Each of the links has two screws on the pins at one end. No problem getting the small screw off, but what's next. Do you need a pin punch remover to push the pin out or is there some special Breitling tool for this? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. As a last resort, I will return to the AD for sizing as their watchmaker has been off for the last 2 weeks. Silly me, thinking I could do this just as easily as I have done the Submariner bracelet adjustments. Guess I was incorrect!!Thanks in advance.JP
I noticed this auction yesterday and looking at the picture it is clearly a Rolex replica on the seller has decided to edit the photo and blank out the name. I felt the seller was trying to bypass the rules about selling fakes and replicas so I put a complaint in to eBay stating my reasons. 24 hours later and the watch is still up for auction, so do eBay not care about copyright as long as the seller edits the photo or was I wrong to complain ?eBay.ie: Gents submariner gmt automatic watch vgc great lume (item 270679786691 end time 16-Dec-10 17:27:18 GMT)
Did Renato stop selling thru SNBC? Were they associated with another company?
