Movado 07100905 wrist watches news:
Bell & Ross recently presented its new WW1 collection at the historic H?tel National des Invalides whose famed Eglise du Dome houses Emperor Napoleon I¡¯s tomb. This new collection, which includes a pocket watch (the PW1) as well as the WW1 wristwatch, traces the evolution of timepieces from the pocket to the wrist. Guests had the opportunity to visit the famous Mus¨¦e de l¡¯Arm¨¦e and then gathered in a sumptuous ballroom to enjoy exquisite French cuisine and vintage Champagne. After admiring the watches, the guests could stroll along the walkways overlooking the square courtyard of the Invalides to soak up the historic atmosphere. The nearly 300 guests included media personalities, French military officers, political figures and watch aficionados.
Rebellion ups the power reserve ante with REB T-1000 manually wound mechanical movement in the watch with the same name (minus "REB"). Through six barrels the movement stores 1000 hours of power reserve. What I want to know is how long do you need to wind the watch, for it to go from totally unwound to fully wound? Mechanically, the movement isn't super complex. It has been specially designed to be symmetrical, which is interesting. All the "guts" are squeezed in the middle, and the balance wheel has been exposed in a unique way. It reminds me of a flattened Corum Golden Bridge movement. The real cool part of the movement is the six mainspring barrels that contain all the power, and are connected via the chain transmission. Time of course it told on the two moving cylinders. There is also said to be a power reserve indicator. An interesting exercise in mechanics and design from Rebellion. In titanium and $105,000.See my Rebellion T-1000 watch article at Haute Living here.

Ran into a very nice condition "Pia Pan" TT. I believe the crown is a replacement (not octagonal/faceted), dial is in great condition. There is no date complication nor hacking feature. Dial has: Logo "Omega" "Automatic" "Chronometer" "Officially Certified" "Constellation" star "Swiss Made T"I don't have photo capability. Any way to guess approximate age/cal movement without removing case back? (It does have removable case back). My thanks.Todd M.
:-)Cheers,Ron
