HELP with determining value of watch?
Hello all, I recently purchased a watch that is broken and am hoping to repair. It's a wind up watch. When I went in to get it repaired, the jeweler said that it will cost at least $200 to inspect the watch and who knows how much more it'll be to fix it. He then said that if the watch is repaired that it would be worth $2000? Sounds kinda strange since I bought the watch for $20 at an antique shop. I just thought it looked beautiful. Anyway, will anyone help me determine the value of the watch and also how I might repair the watch in the most cost effective way? Best,Someone who does not know anything about watches.

A little frustrated . Was told 4 weeks for 3 year warranty and polish . Asked for update and was informed mid to end of April. That would be over 3 months. A little disappointed with turnaround time...

Every time I wanted a piece, it seemed like the price was unattainable. Then you work hard, get lucky, find a great deal and the moment you pull the trigger & put it on your wrist, one of the most amazing high's occur. However, it seems the more (quantity+value) I purchase, the less the high lasts and I end up looking for the next thing within a month.Does/Did this happen with any of the experience members?
