Recommendation for Authorized Dealer with Inventory of Perpetual and Annual Calendar
After a long 6 year project, I am purchasing watches as gifts for 12 colleagues who worked from the beginning with me on this project. 4 of the 12 have indicated a preference for a Patek. I would like to purchase 3 Perpetuals and 1 Annual Calendar Patek watches. I prefer the 5159, 5140, 5396 and 5146. I have found a couple watches here and there with Authorized Dealers, but I would prefer to purchase from one authorized dealer, if possible. This goal might be impossible given the relative rarity of these watches. Does anyone have a recommendation of authorized dealers to contact who might have an inventory of these watches? I am only interested in purchasing from an authorized dealer because I want each recipient to receive a warranty card with their name already filled out. These watches are being purchased as gifts for people who will keep them for a lifetime, not to flip or for speculation. I have been looking for something to replace my G-Shock as my hiking/outdoor watch because I don't wear it often enough to remember how to set it, and it's a pain to pull out the manual every time I need to. I came across what looks like a good deal on two new Sectors. Both are quartz analog chronographs, one with alarm. They both have sapphire crystals, one is on a leather strap and the other a stainless bracelet. I was able to get both for right around $200 (that's for both, not $200 each). I am not too worried about whether they are mediocre, decent, or better watches since their intended use is for when they might get scratched up or dinged around a bit. Most of the areas my wife and I hike are rocky, so the possibility of scratches/dings/etc. is very real. I actually like the way they look quite a bit, which is a definite bonus.
