Omega 1819.51.91 wrist watches news:
Bremont makes some really tough, very werable, everyday pieces.? The watches are incredibly well built, and as Ben told you in the FT a few months back, all of them will soon be built in a state of the art Bremont facility not in the Vallee de Joux, but in the United Kingdom.? See how the dial above says "London" at 6 o'clock and not "Swiss Made?"At Basel World this year, we got a chance to preview what could be a really hot seller for Bremont, the ALT1-WT World Timer.? This new watch combines the funcationality of a chronograph with an easy to use world-time function and UTC hand.? It is also nice to see the dial on this world-timer take a step up when compared to the less expensive Solo models and classic Martin-Baker line.? As is becoming the norm for Bremont, this watch is the commercial version of a watch originally produced for a military unit, in this case the C-17 Globemaster. 2 OF 2 Inside the outstanding Bremont Trip-Tick case is a modified ETA movement that Bre
I've always loved watches, ever since I could remember telling the time. I remember my very first watch but that's besides the point.I want to pass this love of the art to my daughter. To that end I bought her a very expensive (for me) Rolex cocktail watch for her 16th, I could barely afford it but she hardly dares wear it, so that defeated the point. So now I've bought her a Longines watch; still beautiful, mechanical, still solid gold (9ct aledgedly) and she loves it and wears it, which is the point. Now, I'd like to know a little more about it so I can tell her and make the bond complete. It was an eBay 'find' (I know, I know), but it looks so old and hardly worth copying, I thought it worth a go.I've done my fair share of browsing and used the vintage watch finder but I can't find a good match. I beleive it's from around late '30's early 40's (which stuns my daughter as she think I'm ancient) but I can't find a precise match & I've looked hard.Any help & valuation (for insur
Below is a personal take on Patek Philippe perpetual calendar chronograph by one of ourmembers. He wishes to remain anonymous, yet he would like to share some pictures as well as some first-hand experience with us, which we certainly appreciate !================================================== Ménage à trois"The 5970 is the modern classic Patek. It contains enough complications for the movement to be pure art. Something to simply look at to enjoy. It is a large enough watch to see the metal colors stand out, the Patek Rose gold is one of the most beautiful shades I have seen. It has a heritage from prior models and now has fathered a newer version, the 5270. The metal colors are matched to perfectly colored faces to make each one a different watch. Complicated but readable. The detail of the dial can only be seen under magnification, but has beauty to admire at any distance. From a practical matter, they are easy to read, not too heavy, they are comfortable to wear.Once set, it is ea

I know that the datejust line doesn’t hold its value as well as the SS sports models but with the new datejust 41 do you think that trend will Change since it’s so new? Has the updated movement and comes in SS with a jubilee option? I can understand that the 36mm is not for everyone. And the datejust ii wasn’t as accepted as its proportions were a little off. Just curious because when I was looking to purchase a black/ blue dial jubilee fluted bezel model at my local AD I was only offered a 5% discount and it seems even the grey market the prices seem to be pretty close to retail.
