Omega 123.20.27.60.08.002 wrist watches news:
Not the best of pictures, but it's at the watchmaker at Beauchamp Jewelers in ABQ for a full service.I'll get some better pictures when it comes back. It looks much better than in the photo.
I got a call from a jewelry store that sent my watch out to there repair man, they told me it would be $375 to fix saying that the watch needs a complete overhaul and a gasket! The watch will not wind, it keeps time only by the movement of my wrist , I told them no of course considering the watch is only a $500 $650 or so watch new. Does it really need what they say? I'll be getting more quotes as there is no rush to fix it. Also this watch is only around a year old and I am the original owner as far as I know, I bought the watch fairly cheap, but I've seemed to lost out now since there's no warranty.
For me, the ability to display the time at my "other home" and the historical significance of the model in aeronautics (chuck Yeager, Pan Am, Concorde test flight, etc). What about you?

JLC, IWC, Rolex, Omega as well as Tourneau. Can anyone point me in the right direction/help to purchase an Omega at a discount? Can't afford the one we like at full price! Thanks in advance!y
After a lot of effort and some luck, I received my new 5712/1A from my AD today!!!I had been going back and forth between getting a 5711 or a 5712 (both in steel/blue dial), but went for the 5712 after agonizing over this decision for a long time.By way of background, I have a good friend who already has a 5711 in steel and I would constantly bother him to try it on, inspect it, or just stare at him wearing it to get a feel for it in every light condition. In the end, my thoughts were that it is a gorgeous watch and sublime, but in indoor lighting it takes on a vintage look that I wasn't crazy about. In short, it needed the dial to be alive reflecting light to be in its full glory. Today, after wearing my 5712 for several hours and looking at in in a number of lighting conditions, a few things stuck out to me that I wasn't expecting. First, I actually PREFER the 5712 dial in outdoor lighting because although there is less open space on the dial for the light to play versus the 5711, th
