Omega 123.25.24.60.55.003 wrist watches news:
I am looking at buying a BNIB Ref 5022 Calatrava Officer's. Per the price lists posted in this forum, this model was last made circa 2006. I have seen a few BNIB like this out there. Is this unusual for ADs to be unloading five year old BNIB Patek watches to gray market dealers? I like this model and the price is right but just wondering . . . why is this?Would the watch need an immediate service for lubrication? Will the oils be out of place if it sat for five years, maybe more?
Had the opportunity to pick up a new watch box resident and jumped at the chance! It really wears nicely, although I may need to order a half-link. I think it may be a bit snug in the summer.
Hello all, I am a new member to WTF and was hoping some Patek Philippe experts can help me learn about a watch I recently aquired. It seems like a pocket watch that was converted to a wrist watch. The dial has been refinished and it seems to me like it may have originally had the seconds sub dial in the 6 o'clock position instead of the 9 o'clock position. The movement is signed "Patek, Philippe & CE", "No 151853", and "GENEVE" where the CIE is actually a CE with the E underlined. The case is a custom made case and does not provide me with any information regarding the type of watch it is. Also, the movement/dial diameter seems to be about 28mm. According to an antique appraiser, it seems like the serial number dates to 1910. Both the appraiser and another jeweler believe it is an authentic movement. Please note that the "Patek" labeled on the movement is not faded but the angle and picture quality seems to make it look like that (I took these pictures with a phone camera).
I know some may have had enough winter this year but since we hadn't even one snowflake so far in Europe I just had to use this background to remind me what I am missing. I guess it was taken at a Sunday morning and I hope their church had been somewhat warmer than it looks.
Looking to by my first AP....Any recent changes to this watch? I¡¯d like to buy the latest version, so I want to make sure I¡¯m aware of the updates. Thanks
