Omega Omega 46288 wrist watches news:
Hey Gang,I was at an AD today picking up my wife's new watch. It is a sweet ladies DJ with black MOP dial and roman numerals. Anyway, the salesman (who is no slouch he tends to know his stuff) told me that you should always change the date wheel only when the hour and minute hands are BOTH between 3 and 9. He said there was the potential for grinding the gears if the hands were not between 3 and 9. He said he does this for all Rolex. This was news to me. No one had told me this and I don't remember reading it anywhere. Can anyone concur?
Hi all. I'm a newbie so please forgive the questions. I have a big birthday coming up and I've decided that my husband (me) will be getting me a Datejust. So, here are the questions:1) Definitely open to a preowned. What questions should I ask, look for, when considering/viewing a preowned?2) Can someone explain the warranty? from an AD? Third party?3) What's the general feeling on internet retailers? 4) Has anyone here dealt with Lex Watches? I know they're a sponsor, I'm not asking for reliability. I'm actually considering them but curious about the shipping fees since they are overseas. I'm in NY.5) Any general advice on where, how much, when?Thank you all, I've been following this forum and you all have wonderful insight. Not to mention absolutely wonderful timepieces. I'm looking forward to joining the Rolex family.
OK Gentlemen let me give some context to the question.I'd like two answers from you all if you will: :) Part 1: Which metal is the most beautiful?- Ignore price considerations please. That's not the point.- Think only about the beauty of the dial and the case - which metal accentuates/loses this the most?- Which metal does the configuration of the watch the most justice?- In which metal do you think they put the most work/effort into the dial?Part 2: Which can be worn best casually with a polo shirt? However, please consider that I'm dark skinned and can pull off yellow gold without it looking too formal.AND - you have the option to change strap colour to whatever you want too. Please help!RegardsMB
I'm young, but..... after several watches that i owned.... My favourite still the 5711 (also 3700). Just perfect, proportions, elegance, class, presence, the unique character.....I have to say that sometimes this perfection get me bored a little bit. As a human i get used to it... that's the only problem... i try to rotate it with other watches, but is not the same. My mind will always be with the 5711.Tastes change. Sure. But for now is hard to wear something different.A pic from today
At some events I wear my New Datejust and at some I don¡¯t. I like my collection that includes other quality brands. However, it is the Rolex that everyone notices but do not comment on. On vacation this week in Maui with family and friends the question came up ¡°where¡¯s the Rolex?¡± I didn¡¯t bring it. It made me think about their question since they have never mentioned the watch before.Rolex is the one brand that eyeryone knows, notices and respects. I¡¯m wearing another Swiss chrono that no one remotely cares about outside some golfers 🏌️*♀️ at the Sentry tournament who give it a look. The truth is folks in this forum know that there are lots of other excellent brands available. The problem is they are still not a Rolex. Should you buy one you might be the only person in the room that knows what it is!
