One of the wonderful things about Japan is the wealth of gadgets and electronics they produce. There, they have a totally different mentality that the US when it comes to new technology or products. In Japan, it seems as though they release some items to market and watch and see what occurs. Sometimes things catch on, other times they don't, but they realize that markets are incredibly hard to gauge. The US on the other hand will take forever before releasing a product to make sure that marketing, advertising, and consumer opinion all align. Looking at rolex
I've been curious about rolex for a while.i like submariners and i'd wanna get a watch that will hold some sort of value and probably wear pretty often. I take pretty good care of my watches, and i was looking at pre-owned from our sponsers. First, let me tell you, it has been a great experience reading so many comments on this forum over the last several years. I am a rare currency dealer and have always had a passion for watches. My dad is (still) a watchmaker, and I have grown up watching him work on watches ever since I can remember. Once, I was very young and saw him working on a watch that I already knew was hugely expensive. I asked him how he could do it, and he just told me he treated it like any other watch. If he thought about the value, it may affect his work. Growing up in Springfield, MO I didn't get to see too many high end watches, and there was always the elusive "Patek". Could you go back to a non date watch?
Earlier in my life I wore watches with no date feature, heck that's all they had so of course a date never entered my reality.I have been wearing watches these days with a date. And now and then when I try to wear my Rolex Ex 1 I feel lost without the date.I just bought a Tudor Day Date, not arrived yet, and I'm wondering if I get used to it could I go back to a simple date only watch?So, could you go back?
