Magrette Kaitiaki & Kai Kaha Engraved Masculine Watches
The Magrette saga continues with two new watches. These new pieces serve a very specific purpose. They offer the beauty of Magrette's hand-done Maori style engraving, but in a more subtle manner. Allowing most of the visible PVD black case to be masculine and strong in appearance. Each comes in a limited edition set of just 25 pieces. There is just one master engraver responsible for each piece.The Kaitiaka and Kai Kaha watches are very similar, each even being the same price. The difference is the caseback style and design. The Magrette Kia Kaha (meaning "be strong") has a solid steel caseback with a beautiful engraving on its polished surface. The design is masculine, with a strong looking figurine worthy of the title of the piece. Each caseback of course is hand-engraved. Here, the engraving is known only to the wearer. Are Rolex's retail (store) prices controlled by Rolex?
I want to buy an Explorer II. The sales woman priced it at around $5,900. She said that price is firm, and that she had no way of lowering it, because if she did, the store had the risk of Rolex pulling it's dealership from them.What she did offer me was the watch plus a $1,500 or so store credit, to be used on whatever else. I don't need another watch beside the Rolex, and I don't have a girlfriend/wife to give a bracelet/necklace to, so the store credit would be useless to me.Is that for real? Is it possible to get a genuine new Explorer II for cheaper?

Would you participate in a Watch Leasing Scheme?
I watched a program on TV around a week ago, probably Fifth Gear I think, where a bunch of financial types got together with their hefty bonuses and started up a company leasing exotic cars. I believe you had to pay an annual subscription following which you could hire a special car of your dreams for a long weekend, a few days or a week. Do you think this will work with watches? The risk to the leasing company would I imagine be higher. An unreturned Lamborghini Murcielago is more easily traced than a De Ville Co-Axial Rattrapante.Would you lease a high-end watch for a special occasion? I've been seeking this one for a while off and on, and I finally found one in effectively NOS condition. I'd never seen this model in person before it arrived yesterday, and I was actually expecting to be disappointed after all the hype I've heard about it. It turns out that all the hype is absolutely justified and the watch totally blew me away! Here are some photos right after I got home from sizing at the Omega Boutique King of Prussia last night.
