TAG Heuer CAU1116.BA0858 wrist watches news:
I've apparently been bitten by the vintage watch bug. Of the ones pictured below, there's only one that I didn't consider a gamble, and that was because its recent maintenance history came from a reliable source. Considering the prices I paid for the other three, there wasn't really much of a gamble involved, and only one seems to have an issue. The Elgin's minute hand doesn't seem to be moving, although the second hand is. It's also the only one I wasn't really sure I should bid on. Maybe I should have gone with my instincts?
I was wondering, how much is the medium age of the WISes here, I started liking watches since I was 8, and now I'm crazy about them, and think that will continue until I pass away So, let's see the poll...I didn't find a post like this, so if done before, simply post the link :D
Aloha!Any suggestions for buffing out (if possible) scratches on the bracelet of my Connie? I am hesitant to take anything more than soap/water to it, and wondering if anyone has any experience or knows of a method a reputable jeweler might use to lift or disguise fine scratches? i once had a watch guy steam clean my TAG in front of me and the results were impressive, just a little bath in.... i have no idea. didn't charge me, and I was happy.oh, it's s/steel.
Just purchased a Casio and was excited it shared so many similarities to my SMPc (red second hand, round/rectangular hour markers, brushed and polished case, rubber strap, water dwelling animal engraving, ect...) I have a collection of different straps for the SMPc and decided to get some for the Casio, too. Now I can have the desired look I want for those activities that are not appropriate for an expensive watch. Here's a few pics...1.jpg2.jpg3.jpg5.jpgFor those of you interested in the Casio, I wrote a review here....rolexforums/showthread.php?t=403470
I love this piece!
