Heavy duty flieger strap makers ?
Looking to pick up a Flieger strap for my b12 and m24. So far leaning towards J¨¹rgens Germany. Really like the heavy leather and tropical option (rubber under side of the leather).Anyone use them ? About how long to get it ? I see they have a US site also so hopefully not to loong . Or are there any other similar makers same style ?

LaMarque Chrono, Cal. 149 - Assistance Needed Please
First, hello. I just joined. I've had a budget watch collection for a while but have recently started getting into vintage watches and learning about watches in general. I was asked to refurbish a bunch of watches for someone who sells them at a Lions Club thrift store. Included in the pile of every day Japan movement low end watches were a bunch of vintage watches, some of them being Swiss and automatics. I'm keeping those as payment for helping with the other watches.One of those watches is a LaMarque branded chrono with a 149 movement. The dial and movement are both in outstanding condition however I have one problem. The watch runs and two of the three chrono functions work however the start/stop button does not start the timer. Based on what I've read, the top button is the start/stop button and the bottom button is the reset button. I can start the timer by using a small screwdriver to move the lever. Windy & I drove up to New York to meet Greg (RJ007) and Adam (GLADIATOR) & Susan last night. Windy tried her hand with the camera again:She'll get betterI hope. The lighting wasn't great for pics, but I snapped a few anyway. I have not worn this in a long time, but it's still running strong. from approx 1986. Although small by today's trends, it's still a good looker.

Patek 5711 or 5712?
This has come up many times before on this forum, but not since 2014. I'm wondering how thoughts have changed.I have an opportunity to but either a 5711 or 5712 new from AD. Both in steel (blue dial) and both on bracelet. Really struggling which one to choose as what I like about each is also what I don't like about each (relative to one another). For instance:5711I love the plain dial, but worry that the plan dial is too boring.Love the understated look, but worry it's too understated.Like that it is less money, but is it inferior because it is less money.5712Love the complications, but don't really need any of the complications.Love the asymmetrical dial, but worry it's too busy.Like that it is more interesting, worry that it I will like it less as time wears on.Curious what the current sentiments are out there now that both of these references are extremely difficult to find at AD.Any and all help/thoughts are appreciated.
