I would appreciate some advice as to the quality and value of a Movado watch for my wife. My wife visited a Jewelery store with a large collection of Movado watches and she settled on one which is 14K Gold w/Diamond Bezel. I found a fair price for that particular model online for just under $1500 (retails for $3595) and it's guranteed to be authentic but they're not an authorized dealer so I'll be having to absorb any repairs in the near future if there are any. I've purchased her a large collection of watches over the past couple of years mainly based on looks and not so much the manufacturer. Her collection ranges from Baume & Mercier, Bedat & Co., Accutron, Technomarine & Seiko among others. i went to a rolex gtg today and we stopped by a place that also carried Hublot, and i fell in love. a quick googling garnered me the "FACTS" (aka press-released sales-pitches) but does anyone wear hublot? anyone USED to but refuses to anymore? anyone love em? hate em? i want real WISdom. not what i learned from the ads. :) (p.s. here's a pic of the one that got me. she got a name?)

Assume this is common knowledge or otherwise a crafty ploy by the PP AD (UK based) to encourage a sale but my friend has been on the waiting list for a PP 5960/1A and was informed his watch would be ready to collect from 1 February. On enquiry of a discount he received the following reply (word for word, purchaser and sales rep names removed for privacy reasons).Hi XXXXX,The list price is still the same at the moment,There is going to be a price increase soon , we re not sure of dates yet.The price will be ¡ê36,920 .Unfortunately because of the increase and the demand for this watch we are unable to offer discount.If you would like to pass on this watch at the present time we can allow the watch to the next person on our list.Please let me know your thoughtsBestXXXXX
