The watch’s name comes from its “Auf/Ab” circular power-reserve indicator at 12 o’clock, which displays to the wearer how much of the watch’s 56-hour power reserve remains before it stops. In the classical Glash¨¹tte watchmaking tradition, “Auf” (meaning “up”) means that the movement is fully wound, while “Ab” (“down”) means that is has fully run down. 1968 Original Constellation Value?
Since my FrankenSpeedy debacle I would like to own at least one original Omega.So where do you find an original Omega? Well, it found me. Remember, buy the seller. So my best friend says to me I want to sell my Omega, what do you think it is worth?. He bought it brand new in 1968 when he was stationed in Wiesbaden. He has worn it about 40 times and has never had it opened. This is what you would call all original with box and papers. He did change the leather band 25 years ago and even has the receipt for that.If I was to buy it, what should I offer him. It will need a cleaning and overhaul.Sorry some of the pictures rotated when I uploaded them.Thank you for your responses.

Time between purchases
Hello All. I was wondering what the time period was between your first Rolex purchase and then your second Rolex. There is no right answer, but I am curious how people respond. Was it right away? Did you wait years? Did you wait for a significant life event? Did you sell your first one first? I am now about a month into my first Rolex. For whatever reason, I really want to purchase another one but I have been fighting it. I feel like I have not fully gotten to know my first one yet and I should enjoy it first. That said, The Color of Money was on TV earlier and I must say that DateJust with the white dial and jubilee bracelet on Newman's wrist kept catching my eye.Again, there is no correct answer and I am not looking for help deciding. I am just curious the path others went down. Thanks.
