Omega 2538.20.00 wrist watches news:
I have a 1971 Omega Seamaster, that was working fine, until last summer. On a very hot summer day in New York, the watch got somehow moisture inside. The face got discolored a bit. The watch stopped working. The second hand runs, but not the other two hands. We have been unable to open the watch for inspection.Every time we use the air pump, the front glass pops out,but not the back case, that we need to open and to see, how extensive the moisture damage inside the watch was.Any suggestions,on how to open the back case without poping up the front glass?I read someplace, that you could use a freezing compound on the metal back case to make the metal contract, and them use the air pump. How do you prevent the face glass from poping out?Any help would greatly appreciated.
Well, my new Grail is finally here! Just came back from collecting it at the local Ananta AD. No words can effectively convey the beauty and craftsmanship of this watch. I'll put together some initial impressions later on, but for now, I'll let the pics do the talking..Enjoy!
AP ownership has been a very rewarding experience to me so far and the joy was perfectly illustrated yesterday when I met a new WIS friend through the forum and yet another perfect experience at the Singapore AP Boutique ------------------------------------------------------------------------Had a nice coffee before the meeting...------------------------------------------------------------------------Ben had posted here not long ago for some advice on adding an RO in his growing collection. I had the pleasure to offer my 2-cents and we soon met up for some AD/boutique crawling yesterday. After meeting at our favourite AD along the Orchard Road, we decided to check out the RO/ROO at the boutique which is just a stone throw away.------------------------------------------------------------------------With the help from the boutique, it is confirmed that my 25721ST is produced in late 2001. Hence it's now 11+ years old. Still young...--------------------------------------------------------
Lost the love for my BLRO (and it was very similar to my Smurf anyway so I figured it kinda silly to have two WG Sports models anyway) so I flipped it for this. It¡¯s the Rose Gold and ¡®Olive¡¯ (or ¡®snotburst¡¯ as my mate calls it!) dial, Day Date 40 model 228235.Absolute change of direction for me and my collection but while it¡¯s undoubtedly the ¡®dressiest¡¯ watch I¡¯ve ever owned it also feels surprisingly ¡®sporty¡¯ on the wrist and it¡¯s not quite as ¡®in your face¡¯ as it¡¯s YG siblings.Dial and the bracelet really are works of art IMO....
Would you trade a pelagos (blue face) towards a 114060? I don’t wear the pelagos and I have hankering for a 114060 or 116610. I have a 116600, 16600, 14060M for my other divers. I will be adding a 16610LV soon, I think I have one picked out.
