I rather thoughtlessly, perhaps rudely, hijacked TikkTakk's thread earlier. El Presidente and I share the joys and dangers of having a wife that frequents this forum. My wife, Watchwidow, had expressed some concern that a change in my Photobucket account had the effect of disabling her SOTC collection thread elsewhere. I rashly chose TikkTack's thread as a means of reposting it. However, my insertion of that repost generated some interest in Watchwidow's Cartier Santos. What happened to the thread regarding Omega service?
I started a thread a couple of days ago asking about service for Speedmasters. I looked for it just now, and but it's gone. Can someone please explain how this could happen? What was that thread removed? Or am I missing it somehow?

38mm or 42mm Ralph Lauren Slim Classique? Need help on the size
Hello all. I recently had Ralph Lauren ship both their 38mm and 42mm Slim Classique watches to a Ralph Lauren store near my home. They were both white gold without diamonds. I absolutely love this watch and have had my eye on it for some time.I am getting married very soon and wanted to get a very nice formal dress watch that I could make a family heirloom. Since this watch has a plain back for engraving, my fiance is going to engrave it with a special message without me knowing it until it is given back to me on our wedding day.After looking at both sizes, I ended up buying the 42mm. The store manager who was helping me suggested the larger one. I have two other high end watches that are both 42mm so I think I initially felt more comfortable with the larger one.Of course, I am now second guessing my decision. Can anyone help me out? I definitely want this watch to be my formal dress watch. I will be wearing a tuxedo to my wedding.Now I also wear suits to work each day and plan on wear

Omega deserves an A+ for customer service
I recently acquired an Omega Seamaster GMT. Anyway several weeks ago I wrote a letter to Omega Customer Service.Yesterday, I got a surprise in the mail.An A4 envelope all the way from Switzerland and it cost over 5 Euros, those Euros are expensive too Omega were kind enough to send me an original of the COSC testing results on an authentic COSC sealed certificate. The certificate was presented in a clear plastic sleeve and with a backing card, so it arrived in mint condition all the way to the bottom of Down Under It is a bit difficult to actually work out how good the results were in comparison to other movements, but they look pretty good to my untrained eyes.Anyway, it is an outstanding jesture of customer service for Omega to do this without charge. It does add a great compliment to the watch especially for the enthusiast.I'm sure that if another company put there mind to it, they could somehow also do this for their enthusiasts, particularly as the 'credit card' lacks the imprima
