Omega 231.20.39.21.06.004 wrist watches news:
Ticino is a watch budget nice with a look of pilot cool without the price tag associated with it like most of the drivers of 47 mm as Nav Steinhart/Debaufre B - Uhr, or even more if the IWC Big pilot. Ticino is also available in this cool stealth black case with a completely sterile dial. Very pleasant touch. The watch is entirely Chinese, but good value, especially if it is all that you can offer. Unitas sinuous manuals clone movement in it.
I wear my DateJust less & less these days. It's kind of a tweener for me - a little too dressy for a day off casual watch, but not formal enough (to me) since I like a strap on a watch to go with a suit. I waiver back & forth about selling it, but now the call of other brands is getting stronger. I saw a white gold Zenith with a grey dial and a nice Audemars Piguet in Nassau, and I've always drooled over the Vacheron Constantin Patrimony and RGM 151 in rose gold. What I'm getting at is this: how much are they going for nowadays? I don't really keep up on Rolex values. Here's the details:- 1991 "X" serial #16234- stainless on Jubilee with the fluted white gold bezel- internal overhaul early this year including a new mainspring- box & manual but no papers, and a new travel pouch to boot- very good overall condition with minor scuffs, very little sag in the braceletAny help would be appreciated. I plan on putting it on the Sales Forum or eBay, or maybe trading it in soo
Yep, there's no reason for it other than to tell you about the watch gods smiling upon me. Well, them and a_distinguished_gentleman named Tom. Luck, karma, persistence.whatever you want to call it - a year + search is over tonight. Every week or so I checked eBay for an 18 ct logo buckle for my '65 reference 2285 to no avail. I was doing a quick troll and ran across a listing for a LeCoultre with one of the period buckles I wanted, and sent the seller a message. He replied politely that it was only being sold with the watch, but since it was a 14 ct case he'd be happy to sell the 18 ct buckle if a matching 14 ct version became available. 2 or 3 days later he tracked down the correct 14 ct buckle for his watch so he was gracious enough to sell me the 18 ct for the same price as he paid for the 14 ct. So the real reason for this post is to give a public thanks to Tom for helping out a fellow vintage guy. You truly are a distinguished gentleman Tom!
I am being offered one for $8500. Here is a pic: images.antiquorum/223/full/46.jpghere is the reviewquicklook.watchprosite/?s...146&fi=112&s=0No box/papers. Also, there is no authorized dealer for repair in Canada where I live. I would need to send it to US.Any input will be greatly appreciated.
For those that have or have owned both, is the 5711p that much better than the 5711a? Is it worth the 4x price? Would you do it again?
