Omega 3573.50.00 wrist watches news:
Nivarox is probably the most important company in the entire world of Swiss watch making. Now owned by the Swatch Group, Nivarox makes the vast majority of the parts that make mechanical watch movements function. Today the company's official name is "Nivarox FAR" and I finally now what that means. The term allows you to understand the industrial nature of the group's goal. Comprised of about four plant locations around Switzerland, "Nivarox" is a contraction of "ni variable, ni oxydable." In other words "neither variable nor oxidable." I'll explain what that all means in a moment. "FAR" roughly translates into an acronym for "Affiliated Assortments Manufacturers."So what is not supposed to be variable or oxidize? Balance springs of course (also called hair springs). These little necessary parts are at the heart of what Nivarox has historically produced, and the primary component they are known for today. Though in reality the Nivarox FAR of today produces so much more. For those who are
TGIF all! I need your help identifying this Elgin: model? year? and if someone has a photo of the real deal, I'd love to see it. ps...I flipped the photo for viewing ease.
Hi All,I've had my eye on a couple of watches for a while and today decided a bit of retail therapy is what I needed. I was going to buy one or the other and then thought "what the heck" and got them both. The funny thing is I don't like either of these watchmakers range very much apart from these two particular watches (and have said so on this forum a few times). I'm pleased I found a watch from both brands that I like as I want as deep and wide a collection as possible (yeah I have the bug big time!)A few iPhone shots to follow. I hope you like the watches (if not the quality of the photos!)PS - The Breitling is brand new (the deal I was offered was seriously too good to turn away - 40% off recommended price). The AP was worn by an AD employee for a while and is my first "used" buy.
Hello all,I posted this on the Rolex Watch Topic forum and have gotten some good feedback but one member suggested I post here as well so here is my dilemna:Wanting to add to my collection currently consisting of the DJ2 Rhodium, IWC Ingenieur Chrono and a Tag Kirium. I want the watch to have dual time, able to dress it up or keep it sportyish so had my mind all set on the AP Royal Oak dual time (I know there is a price difference) but I went to the AD and saw the GMT-2 BNLR in person and its really starting to grow on me. The black and blue looks really sharp and its cheaper in price lol. What would you guys choose if you were me?Thanks in advance!
Does the inventory held by grey market sellers cause the shortage on popular scarcity watches. Is the grey market causing the inflated prices or are they just taking advantage of the shortage? My inclination is to believe the later however since there are always high demand models available if one is willing to pay a premium, it cause me to consider their impact.
