Omega 3882.51.37 wrist watches news:
I've been enjoying the Apple Watch for more than a few days at the time this post was written ¨C and it has got me thinking a lot about not just the future of electronic wrist watch functionality, but also watch design overall. What I've been most interested in is not only how smartwatch design will continue to evolve, but also what design precedents came before the Apple Watch that either helped inspire it or that it appears to coincidentally resemble. So, with that in mind, I felt it was a good idea to put together this fun little article on the odd similarities between the obscure Patek Philippe Ellipse Ref. 3582 (3582G) and the Apple Watch. I am actually rather convinced Apple was not at all inspired by the Patek Philippe 3582 during the design of the Apple Watch ¨C so I am not suggesting that this rare Patek Philippe Ellipse is some type of direct design ancestor of the Apple Watch. Rather, I am suggesting that watch design is both cyclical and so diverse that it is often inevitable
The crown on this watch only seems to have one position. I was expecting it to have one position for turning the hands and another for setting the date. When I turn the hands counter-clockwise, the date doesn't change. It only works when I turn the hands clockwise.I'm pretty sure cranking the crown around hundreds of times is not the intended way to set the date backwards by a day or two. Please be gentle, I know I'm missing something obvious. 2013-01-24 21.10.13.jpg

I've been quoted 270$+tx per year to insure my SubC date for full replacement value. I'm hesitating to insure it, or not. That is a very hefty price for only 1 watch... I always have my sub on my wrist, even when I go at the gym.Talking about gym, I went there this afternoon and while riding the bike somebody started using the bike on my left and really started staring at my watch. At this moment I thought again hmmm maybe I should get it insured... I don't want to have to fight for a watch I know that this has been talked about many many times here on TRF. What's your input on this? Keep in mind that I always have my watch on, while working, training, going out with friends, etc... Thanks in advance
