Omega 376.0806 wrist watches news:
A few weeks ago we gave you an early look at the Monoposto, the first mechanical watch from Autodromo, a cool, well-conceived upstart based right here in NYC. Inspired by mid-century Italian grand prix cars, the Monoposto combines serious motoring heritage with very wearable style. Today we give you a hands-on look at this limited edition automatic. At 43mm, the Monoposto is starting to get up there in size, but it wears nicely. The tapered case sits nicely on the wrist and the thin, turned bezel makes the watch appear a millimeter or two smaller than it really is. Hello everyone,I'm new to watch collecting. I've actually just bought watches based on looks and what I can afford. But my father has a nice collection and I'm wanting to start up my own. I can't afford much ($100 to $300). Which watch brand should I start out with and why? And where should I move up to after that? Thank you.
I have long wanted a high quality Swiss watch. I have never had an automatic before. But I have been thinking if I do step up to an Omega. Should I go ahead and get what would be my first auto, or stick with a quartz. What do you all suggest?
Some pictures for your enjoyment. Lots of comments and posts about the blue tones of the 5711. The images were taken straight from the camera, no editing. The only difference was the angle and the lighting. Pretty clear how the dial can transform from grey to blue almost magically.
