Omega 311.63.44.51.06.001 wrist watches news:
Hi everyone, finally registered here.Went into my AD as soon as I arrived back in the UK today (actually went to buy an IWC ) and enquired on the status of my PO LE that you may remember I took in under warranty. The AD telephoned Omega who apologised for the delay (I sent it in October) and told me it wouldn't be ready until probably the end of January. They said as a good will gesture because its taking so long they would send me some free gifts...but they didn't say what? What do you think I'll get.
As some here will remember, this book was mailed to me back on October 27th. I feared it had been lost in transit. Well, it finally arrived this morning, four weeks to the day after mailing! It's appearance was somewhat unusual and caused a minor stir, so I thought I'd photograph the process of opening it up and share it with you all!The most remarkable thing was the green sandbag-like woven bag it arrived in, prominently wearing the marque of the Italian postal service. The bag itself was closed with not one but two tags. The first assured me that the contents had been x-rayed for my, and your protection! The second, less exciting, testified to its dispatch date - in case you didn't believe me! Well, after cutting the zipties off and opening the green sack, what appears but a very conventional cardboard box...the plain brown wrapper, as it were.Inside, lots of spare literature and material - and notice the styrofoam cushioning material. The book itself is in a white slipcover to furth
At the first of the week this fun G-Shock arrived. It is big and bold, but light as a feather. I have enjoyed adding this watch, which is very different from any other in my collection, to the rotation. Cheers, Bill P.
Well I really want to get the Tissot Quadrato, but I just cannot find a good picture of it in real life (not a generic picture that sellers use). Any help is greatly appreciated!!! THANKS GUYS!!!!!!BTW: What other Tissots are pretty nice under 400 bucks?
Well looks like I've got the watch buying disease....I just picked up this 2531.80 today which makes this now my second Omega in few weeks time. I better slow down. Here's my conundrum: The original owner stated that this watch was purchased new in 2000 and was stored away all this time. If a watch hasn't been running for say 10 years...should I: Take it in and have it and check out and Lubricated, etc?Or just wear it?
