Omega 3518.50.00 wrist watches news:
I'm looking for a new watch in the $2000-$3000 price range. I'm leaning towards a dress watch, but am open to something versatile that can be worn with a suit as well as jeans. I've been looking at the Oris Artix Chronometer Date, the Tag Carrera Calibre 5 and the Bell & Ross BR 123. Any thoughts on these watches, or suggestions for others in this price range? Thanks!
And so during my stay in Switzerland, I got to meet a nice gentleman of a a small new watch company who brought me to the nice little workshop in Germany, near the border of Basel. and I took some pictures while I am there. It is indeed small, and the workshop is tucked in quiet village and behind it, I was told are vineyards! Wonder why Singapore does not have such natural environment. As usual, pictures for you guys. His workshopThis is where the prototyping is done first - designsDial design are printed on thisTools for dial stampingand more tools. these are the delicate process in watchmaking. time to say goodbyeOH YES....there is a link to my youtube video. he explained to me how this wonderful , but expensive, tool helps him in setting hands efficiently onto watches. enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAr22pTCI_U
After I was "talked" down from my urge to get a Chinese tourbillon, I still want to add something new to my collection.I'm thinking I want something with an in-house mechanism from a Swiss watch maker.I like the looks of the Revue Thommen Classics Date Pointer. It is 41mm and used the Revue Thommen GT56 movement which has 27 jewels, 19,800 bph and a 42 hour power reserve. From reading, it seems when Grovana acquired RT, they brought back the manufacture of in-house mechanisms. While the date pointer is something I already have, I think in this case, the dial and case work, plus the RT movement more than make up for the lack of a moon phase or complete calendar (which RT offers, but it is an ETA movement and the only one I can find has a black dial which seems to obscure their great dial work). The watch comes in white, black, and chocolate. The white, imo, shows off the dial best.It also comes with either a bracelet or strap. I think I'm going to go with the black leather band.So whil
