- This watch has gorgeous garnets. They're a lighter shade of garnet than I usually see, but that may be because they're set in silver. I wish it was a little shorter, but I can live with that.

Omega Omega 20012 wrist watches news:
Oris is pretty well known to me as a maker of workhorse watches with all sorts of sporty themes. Maybe it is racing, or diving, or aviation - Oris has a handsome watch for the job. Less people know their retro styled watches. One such example is the Oris Big Crown Pointer Date watch. It has a terrible name (no effort there!), but totally falls into the category of what I call "the dad watch." Yea, that looks like something everyone's "dad" used to wear. It has that sense of classic no-nonsense functionality that seems to remind you of steady good taste for uncontroversial times in the past. This is for people whose father were not sports or action heroes but regular guys who wanted something nice, but "reasonable."The Big Crown Pointer Date watches come in a few styles and even in a smaller version for the ladies ("mom watch" anyone?). Prices are actually quite reasonable. You can a well-made mechanical Swiss watch for well under $1000. Of course there are version just over $1000 and a
One of the single most important features of watches intended to keep very accurate time is the presence of a stop seconds function. The single most important purpose of the tourbillon – as Breguet originally conceived it, certainly – is to make a watch more accurate. You would think therefore, in a rational universe, that you would see the tourbillon and a stop seconds function paired frequently, if not invariably . . . but you'd be wrong.First of all, let's talk tourbillon. The basic idea behind the tourbillon is pretty simple: it's a solution to a really old problem in watchmaking, which is that a watch will run very slightly faster, or slower, depending on what position it's in. This is mostly due to how gravity pulls on the balance and balance spring in different positions. For example, think of the balance, which has at its center the balance staff (a very, very thin steel pivot). The tips of the balance staff sit inside the holes of two jewels, and wh
Hi,I would like to know whuch watch would you prefer out of this twoRolex Submariner Blue Dial OR Rolex Submariner Black Dial??I guess except the dial color both the watches share same features.
I'm sporting this Dodson today, currently listed in the sales forum.
I'm not well versed when it comes to AP watches. The one pictured below is being offered to me. It has a thin case, 38mm diameter excluding crown, diamond hour markers and monoblock case. The case back has No. 422. Not sure what it means but I guess this is not the model reference number. I don't want to open the watch since its not yet mine to check the reference number. Can anyone tell me what model this is and approximately what year it came out?
