- Love the easy on off braclet clamp style. Watch is easy to read. People notice it and comment on how much they love it. It also clearly shows my faith. A watch every one should own

- This watch is very nice looking and I love it, but the bracelet is HUGE. It can only be adjusted by a jeweler, too, so I'm looking at another $15 or so.

Piaget 16035m404d wrist watches news:
The longer one spends around the watch collecting world, the more one tends to be interested in early watches – typically those that pre-date the "modern era." What I mean by that is there is a clear division with many brands – Rolex, Omega, and Heuer, for example, all began naming watch lines in the 1950s and '60s: the Submariner, Speedmaster, Carrera, et al. But, the watches that came before these great lines of horology existed are fascinating not only because of their relative obscurity, but also because of their purity in design. In this story, I examine four watches all available in Phillips' Geneva Watch Auction Two that were made by Rolex, and they're all complicated. But, none of them fall under the category of a Submariner, GMT, Daytona, or Explorer. And there is real beauty in that. I decided to take a little hiatus in the 'Themes' thing over Christmas. Partly, I had built up a bunch of newly acquired and/or repaired watches that I was dying to wear, and partly because I could. But I thought I'd start up again with one of the things that makes Elgin unique among American watchmakers - US-designed and -built self-winding watches. Bulova did build some of their '23' series of automatics in the US, but my understanding is that they were kind of a joint Swiss/American project. So, let's start with today's watch: the 1951 Elgin 607 "Bumper" automatic! This YGF case, and the two-tone dial, are probably the ones most associated with the Bumpers, but they also came in solid 14k and stainless. The movement (Shamelessly stolen from Joel (441victor) - I haven't opened mine up since it's a screwoff and I don't have the tools)There was nothing novel about the technology by this time, but it was the very first American-made self-winding wristwatch! Elgin doubtless borrowed h
I'm called by a Kremke Nščr Spec, but I find it too similar to the Tag Heuer Carrera which I already have (Ian no offense please )All of them are based on the Valjoux 7750but the Tag doesn't have a day displayHere's a picture of the three watches side by sideDo you find them similar? let's say too similar to pass up the Kremke? Also, I'm more attracted by the SS Nščr Spec, but the PDV looks very good too, which one you like more?
Had some time to kill this afternoon, and I just put the ProII back on the Skyland and decided to snap some quick shots. I absolutely love this watch!Just a quick comparison on how it wears compared to my Deepsea...
Older pictures but imo worth to repost them :-)They do know how to finish movements at Patek Philippe :-)and the watch itself
