Breitling B1335611/C648-3LT wrist watches news:
My dad mis-placed his old watch and we found it in my parents' house after 2 or 3 years. It was purchased new in 1973 and he wore it daily until 2005 when he was given a new watch. It's an Omega Seamaster De Ville.Any thoughts as to which movement it has? Also, he stopped wearing it because the case back essentially "wore out." There is a small fissure in the case which will allow moisture in if it is worn. What advice do you guys have as far as repairing it goes?Do I replace the case?I know a repainted/refurbished dial is not desirable, but does that apply to the case? That's my Seamaster next to it for comparisonIf you look close, you can see the crack in the case.We also found what we think is the original boxSorry about the lack of quality pics.I used a cell phoneAny input and insight is appreciated.
Fifteen years ago in Honolulu I first saw a Panerai. I loved it. I knew one day I would be wearing one. Yesterday was that day. I took the plunge and picked up a 164. Here's my first pic of my new wrist buddy.
Hey guys !I'm back on the solid gold trench watch kick again but I am a bit stumped when it comes to this one! This is a 9k solid gold trench watch case that was manufactured by the Keystone Watch Case Company. It's the BIG size 0s version with a hinged case back and 10mm lugs. The movement screw indentations are unmistakably ELGIN ! ! !The thing that has me a bit stumped is that this is an AMERICAN made trench watch case that is hallmarked. This is VERY unusual, the Americans did not do this to their cases! It took me several days to identify the hallmarks as they are from a sort of obscure assay office. The marks are from the Chester Assay Office in England.Usually when you see marks from the UK they are from Birmingham, London, Sheffield and Edinburgh. The hallmarks:The 3 sheaves of corn indicate the Chester Assay Office.N: 1913.375: 9k gold content. So, why does this American made trench watch case have UK hallmarks ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?The case was made in America but then imported to the UK vi
I am wondering if the MC300 adjustable clasp fits Speedmaster bracelet? Both SS or Ti.
Looking to purchase my first panerai and I seem to lean to these 2 models the best. I like the beige coloring on the 630's markers and hands, even don't mind the ETA movement in it since it will make any fixes easier down the road (i could be wrong.)The 114 is the predecessor and has screw down straps whereas the 630 doesn't, any thoughts from the panerai veterans?
