Panerai Pam00186 wrist watches news:
Marvin watches has released two new versions of their Sebastian Loeb collaboration watches with these two new pieces, one being a limited edition. Not just mere color changes, these have different, more refined dials and a great sporty look. These are the best looking Marvin Loeb Rally Collection watches yet in my opinion. I wrote about the original Marvin Loeb collection here.Using the top-level models with the Swiss ETA Valjoux 7750 automatic movements, these are offered as two sets of watches with either a red trim or yellow trip. The red trimmed model will be a limited edition of just 88 pieces. As is the case with all Marvin watches, the 8 o'clock out indicator is specially indicated. Loeb's signature is applied on the dial under the day/date window for those who need some rally driver reassurances on a regular basis. The watches each come in 44mm wide PVD black steel cases. The Loeb case shape remains the same with its neat chronograph pushers and spring mounted moving lug structu
Read on another forum that the seiko 7s26 is made in malaysia and is not made in Japan but the Miyota (citizen) movements are. Is this a load of BS or is it true? Not that I care anyway but it's an interesting fact if it is true. And IF it is true, are all seiko movements made there too? Please fill me in so I can know for sure. Thanks!
Just had a watch back from overhaul servicing. I notice the caseback (classic screwed type with notches) has not been tightened quite as far as the original factory setting. It is about 10 degrees short (I can tell because it is a decorated back). Does this matter? It's rated 10atm (100m) water resistant. The watchmaker says it's been pressure tested as included with the servicing. I want to feel confident that I can go swimming etc without worrying that it's not as tight as the original factory setting. Is it safer to tighten it more? Or is over-tightening a bad thing?
If so, what is your system for rotating them? No system? Then how do you decide what to put on each day? I don't have a huge collection, so I just find myself picking one to wear. Sometimes I wear it for 3-4 days, other times I switch off during the day. No system for me, but I do like having a choice, small as it may be. How about YOU?
Here's a poll for fellow TRFers. I took my Corthay Arca's out today for a spin (MTO via Leffot, in lie de vin (color of wine) - I love 'em. But what looks better with them?My 3970 in yellow gold, with its rich opaline white dial and lustrous brown strap?Or my new 3970 in platinum, with its rare, stunning silver dial and elegant shiny black strap? What's your choice?
