- This is a beautiful watch! I ordered the /medium size. It is a little too , but I am wearing it anyway. I treat it like a bracelet more than a watch.

- I'm surprised that no one has commented that the watches are NOT LEATHER. I wish they would have then I wouldn't have spent time or money on those cheesey looking watches. I bought 2 of them and I'm sending them back!

Jaeger LeCoultre Q175847V wrist watches news:
Hello. Recently my father passed and left me his watch collection, my knowledge on watches and watch manufacturers is pretty low. One watch caught my eye only because it is a Rolex. I visited a few websites that told me to look for certain things to determine that it is fake and I couldn't see them. Thanks for taking a look at this for me!
The sun is having a major bout of solar flatulence (ok, not technically passing gas per se but...) today which some may interpret as the beginning of the process that will lead to the end of the world in December but I wonder if these solar flares are going to have any negative effects on: a) mechanical watches ( say, increased magnetism in the air) and b) quartz ( say, electro magnetic pulses). Yo CometHunter, give us the astronomical straight dope. Of course, any member with a good working knowledge of astro physics can pipe in as well.
I've got this thing for tactical equipment: Firearms, Knives, Lighting Technologies, etcI'm a man with many vices. So naturally one type of watch I like is a good, simple yet durable and rugged watch. I'm really liking "traser" watches at the moment and plan on picking one up soon. They seem to be along the same lines as the Reactor Trident which proved it's worth in Iraq after surviving an explosion and still functioning. So my question is this: If you had to go through hell and back, what watch would you strap to your wrist before heading in?
Does anyone know if there are issues if you took more than 1 AP into the US? I've only just started collecting AP and will shortly be going to the US and would like to take some with me.I know with Rolex this is a no no and customs have the right to stop you from carrying more than 1 Rolex into the US if they catch you.
Hello, I have an early Omega Constellation with the 352 movement. I am trying to determine the year of manufacture. The case is marked 2648 with a 11 mil. serial number The movement is a 352 with the RG regulator and a 12 mil. serial number. Can anyone help direct me to a web site with information. Also which serial number do I use to determine the year?? The one the movement or the one on the case?? Thankyou for any help. David
