It's a LOVELY Day Here In Ohio
So many of our Florida friends have been kind enough to show us what wonderful weather they've been enjoying (which we Ohioans sooooo appreciate), so I thought I'd do the same today.Let's take a look out the front door today and see what the neighborhood is like:Isn't is just so beautiful! So inviting! Ooops! Better take a wrist shot to make this on topic...you'll have to excuse me if the photo is a little blurred. At about 17 degrees, I was shivering a bit...Now let's take a look out in the back yard:Boy! That snow is really coming down! Now, where are those puppies? Shouldn't they be out in the yard, frolicking and playing in the snow?Heck no! They want no part of it..."we want back inside Dad!!!"To my FL friends, yeah...our weather sucks. Why are ladies watches so cheap compared to the gents watches ?.Some of the detail in the smaller movements is amazing.This evening I purchased a lovely little 10k gold filled 1943 Elgin with a 547 movement, can't wait for it to arrive. I am sure the wife will love it. It was nice to research the Elgin online database and get some info before the purchase. I have already made 2 failed attempts to get an american watch and I hope I got it right this time, even if it is for the wife.

Now ignoring the obvious price difference of these two wonderful timepieces which one would you pick.Personally I'd like to add them both to my collection, But taking into account the demand for the Hulk plus others talking of increasing costs not to mention the waiting time to get hold of one it's seems more likely the one to choose.I'm currently on the waiting list for the Hulk which is around 2 years in the UK...Whereas there is only around a 3 month wait for the other.What are your thoughts 😕
