Madison Avenue Watch Week 2013
Watch lovers in New York City will once again have a chance to enjoy Watch Week on Madison Avenue this year. From April 8th until the 13th, a selection of watch retailers and brand boutiques on Madison Avenue between 57th and 86th Street will hold special events to reward collectors for their dedication and to showcase their 2013 watches. I was there for Watch Week last year in 2012 and enjoyed what the event was able to put together. Critical Watch Mass, or "Honey is that a new Watch"
I am stealing this phrase from a dear friend of mine. Have you reached "Critical Watch Mass" This is when you get caught wearing the "new" watch by your spouce. She asks "When did you get that watch?"You tell her "I have had this one for a while, I just got it back from the jewelers". This is when you have so many watches your spouce cannot tell when you get a new one.I have not reached this point yet.............but soon.

Small wrist with BIG Planet Ocean
I have a 6.5 inch wrist and am in two minds as to getting the 45.5mm Seamaster Planet Ocean (PO) or the smaller 42mm PO.Does anyone have any comments to share about getting the larger PO for a smaller wrist?Is it uncomfortable to wear in the long run? (the 5 min at the AD doesn't really help a lot).Alternatively, pics of wrist shots with smaller wrists would be appreciated.Thanks...

Was torn between blue Milgauss, Explorer and Sub NCI wanted a watch ¡®to wear¡¯ and possibly, but hopefully not, this may be the only Rolex I¡¯m able to afford.Decided on the no date - now to find one.Looked around, went on lists - no joy.I didn¡¯t really want to go grey, wanted new with my name on the card, but it wasn¡¯t looking good.Found myself with work, in a hotel out of town. Googled any local ADs, turned out there was, literally around the corner - what did I have to lose?Went in, told my story and asked, if despite being from out of town, I could go onto their list for the Sub.He thought for a moment, and said ¡° You know, there¡¯s one coming on the delivery this afternoon - if you want to wait and can pay now, it¡¯s yours¡±OVER THE MOON!
