New SS Sub?
Looking at getting my first Rolex.This is what I am thinking...Love the DeepSea but not sure on the cost vs upgrades. Over all love it the most. All the upgrades are making me jump on getting the Rolex now.Love the look and upgrades on the new GMT IIC but don't like the polished center links. Is there a new SS Sub with the ratchet expansion on the clasp like the DS? Ceramic bezel, AR coating, new movement? Seems if there is a new SS Sub out then that will be all the things I want. Well except the larger size I like. Right now a Breitling SuperOcean SteelFish is my daily watch.Any help is appreciated.Thanks in advance,Tommy

Omega and the Space Program
There have been some recent discussions of the choice by NASA to use Omega Speedmasters for space travel in the early years of the program and certain stories that the astronauts, being the mavericks that they are, chose to wear their own timepieces, such a Rolex, while in flight.I happened to run across this site which does a pretty good job of documenting the process by which the choice of watches was made, as well as some of the challenges to that decision, and what the approved watches for astronauts are today.clubspeedmaster/space/tests.htmclubspeedmaster/index.htm

An Omega Story
Wonderful Early Christmas Present...I was just given an Omega X-33 by my closest friend (since first grade). It was his personal watch that he purchased through his Squadron at NAS Oceana (VFA-81). He's worn it in combat, as a Top Gun instructor, an F-18 Instructor, and an F-5 aggressor pilot. He recently left the Navy at the rank of Lt. Cmdr and has known for quite some time my affliction for all things watches and decided that I would be a great person to give the watch too. It needs a movement service (hopefully with an upgrade to the newest version) and new crystal but I told Omega to leave all the dings, scratches, etc alone as they are representative as the life this watch has lead. Needless to say I feel honored and blessed that he would give me this piece of Aviation, Naval, and friendship history to me.My X-33 has returned from Omega service. Couple things i'd like to cover: 1. Customer Service was amazing! The Oakbrook boutique was very helpful and kept me in the loop at all
