Invicta 11016 wrist watches news:
Audemars Piguet launched a new diver’s watch at SIHH last week. The Royal Oak Offshore Diver measures 42mm x 13.75mm and is powered by AP’s manufacture 3120 automatic movement. The ROO Diver meets or surpasses each of the Swiss watch industry norms (NIHS) for dive watches, including time preselection device, visibility, water resistance, anti-magnetic properties, resistance to shock and thermal variations, and resistance to external forces. The time preselection device norm (NIHS 92-11 corresponding to ISO 6425) calls for a device that is protected against any unintentional rotation. The ROO Diver has a unidirectional inner bezel that is activated via a click mechanism linked to the crown at 10 o’clock. The wearer must unscrew the crown to turn the bezel. The Swiss dive watch norms require that the time measured on the inner dial ring must be readable in the dark from a distance of 25 cm, or about 10 inches. The ROO Diver meets this requirement with faceted, luminescen
I have a Patek Philippe Annual Calender 5036/1R. It's 36 mm rose gold with bracelet. I spoke with the Henri Stern Watch Agency's parts department about swapping my rose gold bracelet with an alligator strap. They said this watch cannot be fitted with an alligator strap, or any leather strap.Does anyone know if this watch can be fitted with a leather strap? I figured I would ask just in case the Henri Stern Watch Agency is answering with the company line, and that I can swap the bracelet (myself) even though they prefer one does not. Thanks for any help.
I picked up an old "GAMMA" watch today at an estate sale. Unusually, it seems to have an all-stainless case with a screw-in back. The crystal, of course, is acrylic. The dial says "Gamma" and "17 jewels - shock protected" and "Swiss Movt". The back has no markings at all. The case is 35mm diameter (not counting lugs or crown). The crown is unmarked. I've Googled & eBay'd for this name and found absolutely nothing. I don't have the right tool to remove the back - it has tiny flutes (ala Rolex) rather than notches. Has anyone seen such an animal before? Approximate age & worth? The movement is manual-wind, not automatic, but it does run. When I got it, the crystal was burned (cigarette?). I've buffed & polished out the burn marks, and it looks surprisingly good.If needed, I'll be happy to take & post some photos. Thanks - Boomzilla
I've been seriously considering a 15202ST Jumbo lately and popped into the Beverly Hills Boutique yesterday to try on the rose gold version since the steel is never in stock. This is the second Jumbo I've tried on and although it's stunning overall, neither one has had the deep blue color I've seen in some of the photos of the Jumbo on this and other sites. It comes off more muted and gray/blue in most angles I could see in real life. Is this just the way it is or are there Jumbos out there that have dials that look like this (see below) in the metal?
Won't bore you with the details about the circumstances but today, a complete stranger and I had this short conversation . . . . . . Stranger: I like your watch AzPaul: Thanks. It's a '66 Stranger: Is it a pie-pan? AzPaul: It is Stranger: Can I take a look at it? AzPaul: Absolutely Made my morning
