Oris 585 7525 40 61 MB wrist watches news:
Hi guys I'm looking to buy my first "nice" watch and want to make sure I get it right the first time so I won't have to buy a new one in a long time. I entered the watch market looking to only spend $200, but I then extended it to $250 and now looking at watches I may extend it all the way to $350 depending on how far that extra $100 takes me. This is where you guys come in and tell me what you think about the watches I'm looking at and if you can justify spending the extra $100.Thanks so much in advance!!Here's one for $262Citizen-Eco-Drive-Perpetual-Chronograph-BL5250-53LAnother for $255Citizen-Eco-Drive-Titanium-Chronograph-AT0400-57EAnd here are the watches in the $350 Neighborhood. Let me know what you guys think about these ones and if its worth the $100 jump from the other 2 watches. The Calibre 8700 for $356Citizen-Eco-Drive-Perpetual-Calendar-BL8000-54LAnd lastly, this one for $330Citizen-Eco-Drive-Perpetual-Chronograph-BL5350-59LTHank you again!!
I have a watchmaker friend, a Vietnamese immigrant who has been in this country for over 40 years. For the last 15 years he has worked in a Rolex store and earned his living mainly on the repairs of Rolex. In the past, Rolex has trained him and even gifted him with a $1000 Swiss watchmaker¡¯s bench.Earlier this year, Rolex pulled their line from his store- one of the first 10 doors they opened in this country over 70 years ago. No explanation, just a form letter. Shortly afterwards they closed the parts account. And no parts effectively ends the repair business. My friend is a good watchmaker, but he¡¯s in his mid-sixties now and will likely struggle to reestablish himself in a different business. He will likely have to take a pay cut and may not be able to use his specialized Rolex talents. On the flip side, this is a wonderful business maneuver for Rolex. It benefits them in two ways. First, by limiting the repair options for Rolex owners, they can fix the price at as much as they wish
I really dig this auto! The band is very comfortable (I dont usually like steel bands) I had never heard of Fortis. The buttons are a bit sticky. Aside from taking it in for service. Are there any tricks to getting them to loosen up?
I heard a knock at the door and I knew what it was. The postman bringing me my latest acquisition. I had been eyeing an Edouard Lauzieres, Eldiamante since I saw Tom Cary's photo of one. And now I have one. I did a very quick shoot at a couple angles with the point and shoot. Look for a review (with more pictures) on this watch in the coming week or two. I need to give it time to break in and I have some family matters I will be attending to this week. But, out of the box it is awesome. Fit and finish is five star and it wears very well on my wrist. The black diamonds are a real nice touch. It gives the watch a lot of class without being bling.
Took my neighbor to the beach to look around in the AD. He ended up leaving with a TT Sunburst Blusey Sub. What a Beauity. While there, the owner told us a customer brought in a watch with a Cracked Ceramic Bezel. The first one he has ever seen. He sent it off to the RSC in Ormand Beach. Wish we could have seen a few Pics.
