Panerai FER00006 wrist watches news:
Hi everyone,What a great site/resource you all have put together. I'm so happy to have stumbled upon it. I've read through much of the advice you've given to so many others, and it's been very informative. So here's my story.I'm not intending to collect watches, though I can tell there are at least some of you that will try and talk me into it. I've always worn relatively cheap watches, and replaced them once they've stopped working. My current Perry Ellis was well under $100, and now fogs up when it gets wet. Probably because I've changed the battery twice, and tend to try and pay as little as possible.I now want something more. I want more than just a watch. I would like something that I can expect to last. I don't want to change batteries. In an ideal world, I would go down to a local authorized dealer, and walk out with a $5k Omega tomorrow. I don't know much, but I know they're high-quality, and look amazing. I don't have $5k. So the first question I'm really trying to answer is: Wh
I saw an article on the Fox News website yesterday about technology items that are becoming "extinct". One of those items the author declared was extinct was wristwatches. Apparently, with cell phones and other devices having the time on them, wristwatches are no longer being worn..."except by those that grew up with them".I agree that cell phones and mobile PCs, and iPods all will let you know the time; wristwatches do it with more style and elegance than the other devices. Wearing a watch is not always just having the time handy (and to me it's still easier to look at my wrist than pull my phone off my belt), it's about having a product that has style (anything from Rolex to Timex has style as far as I'm concerned). It's also about having something that in many cases is hand built with tolerances that require the utmost skill to pull off. It's about technology that will never become obsolete. The human hand that builds watches my become extinct, but in 100 years from now a watc

I think out of the Mitsukoshi SE Panda, Gemini blue dial and the CK-2998, this is easily my favorite Speedmaster combination. I switched out the blue strap and placed the special ordered 1125 bracelet on the CK-2998 and the result, just out of this world awesome. The combination screams vintage and the bracelet for some reason just makes the blue look more black and resulting in a super panda look. Omega should really make the CK-2998 release in a bracelet and even if they made the run in 8,000 pieces, they would sell out like hot cakes. Is this not just awesome or what?
