Panerai FER00010 wrist watches news:
Along with the vintage-inspired worldtimer, Tissot released an update of their popular Powermatic line at this year's Basel World. The new Powermatic 80 Chronometer is an extremely straightforward watch with an 80 hour power reserve and chronometer certified movement, giving you a lot of timekeeping power for your money. The handsome package is an added bonus and here's a hands-on look at this high-value watch from Tissot. 2 OF 10 80 Hour Power Reserve and COSC Chronometer Certification COSC-certification is nothing new for Tissot. A few months ago we gave you an in-depth review of their Le Locle Chronometre, winner of the 2012 Concours International de Chronometrie timing competition (spoiler alert, we liked it). The movement inside this Powermatic 80 Chronometer is a COSC-certified ETA C07.111, which is essentially an ETA 2824 with a beefed up 80-hour power reserve, lower friction materials, and a balance beating at 3Hz instead of 4Hz. The latter two modifi
As a prospective Omega owner and relative newbie to this forum, I have been going back and forth over which Seamaster to eventually purchase. First it was the 2255, then it was the 2254, and I also thought a lot about the 2220, but now I have really been thinking about the 2535 GMT. My only concern is that there is not much talk about it in any of the Omega forums that I visit. The thing I like most about the 2535 GMT is the exhibition back. Watch movements are such a thing of beauty and it would be nice to be able to gaze at this miracle of human engineering without taking the back off.Are there any down sides to the 2535 over any of the other models that I have thought about?

Sorry, the questions was just too long for a title.Has anybody you care about very much ever given you a watch that you would never have picked out?My late step-father bought me an Apollo 11 25th Anniversary watch, knowing that I have an interest in watches. The gesture was extremely nice, and he was a great man. So far, what I've done is that I wore it a couple of times when my wife and I were going to their house, but now it sits in a drawer with a dead battery.I'm thinking of getting a new battery for it and wearing it once or twice a month, just because it's a reminder of what a great guy he was.Any similar stories?
My recently purchased Luminox Field Watch is great except for the fact that it has the days in english and I think also german. For example last night at midnight it switched to FRI in the day window and then switched to FRE at around 2 A.M. I bought this watch on the internet. Did I get a non-U.S. model. If this is all normal I'll keep it, but I'd rather there was a way to make it say FRI instead of FRE for most of the day. Thanks.
