Panerai PAM240 wrist watches news:
Amazing that this dealer sized my Omega bracelet for only $15.00, and provided a small carrying pouch for my Rolex. This dealer has two stores in Las Vegas. Looking at his display cases only Tag Heuer and Victorinix watches displayed. The salesman who handled my bracelet said that many Rolex dealers aren't. Rolex came down hard on their authorized US dealers. As an aside, while the Swiss Franc was devalued recently, many big Swiss manufacturers got hit hard. Not Rolex USA, even though the watches are made in Swiss, they RAISED their prices 5 to 9 %! Was told Rolex sales have taken big hits lately.
Any suggestions on a Starter Panerai ?Obviously, best bang for the buck...All advice welcome, and will be buying pre owned..Thanks,Tim
Anyone no of a dealer that is carrying one of these now?Retail cost?only dealer in state doesn't have one. Thanksgmac
Several have asked how the LM differs from the standard PO. I have not owned a standard but here are some shots that may show the differences.Of course the not-so-subtle caseback shouts different:Notice that all the engraving left no room for the anti-counterfeiting globe which now appears on the back of the 5:00 lug. (World Premier is a bit much IMO as is the and Only of the sapphire sandwich.)Then there are the applied numerals and Omega, red Seamaster, silver lettering and minute indexing, and if you look carefully, you will see the green [ZrO2]:The LM dial is made of the same ceramic material as the bezel and the date window appears to be cut with clearly defined edges rather than stamped as with the standard dial:And of course, the LiquidMetal is only available in the 42mm size.Fr. John?
Thoughts on a 524? Kind of thought about trading my 312 for one?? Or any others? Cheers
