Hublot 301.SX.1170.RX wrist watches news:
So I go in to the big T today just for a bit of browsing. In the window they have an early 2000 preowned white dialed SS Daytona. I have to ask. How much is that Daytona in the window. The very pleasant saleslady opens the case and reads the price to me: Its 16,000.00. I said I'm sorry it sounded like you said 16,000.00. The smile slowly ran away from her face and she said, I did. Now I don't normally play with sales peoples emotions but I am interested in a Daytona so I ask, how flexible are you with this price. She calls the manager and he starts in with how rare it is yadda yadda yadda. I'll take 15K I smiled and said you do realize its 2009 not 2004, that ship has sailed buddy. He wasn't as amused as I was. So I walk across the hall to an actual AD and speak to that saleslady. Oh we don't have any now but we have been getting them pretty often, she says. The last one sat in the case for a month so we don't have a list anymore. They have one now and I'm the only one
Just received my new to me Waltham yesterday. Actually it is in better original shape than I thought it would be and running very accurate -so far. Have a question on the crown - seems to be loose and sticking out a bit - can push it in but springs out again - seems odd - anyone have a similar model? Thanks Paulsellers pic - notice the crownps - the hands still really glow in the dark!
Hi everyone.I saw the Dark Side at an AD and fell in love! I can't get it out of my mind. However the only hi end watches that I own are Rolex and Panerai. I'm having a hard time justifying how expensive it is. I can get the Dark Side for quite a bit off retail but it's still up there. My question is how do Omega hold their value? In particular how to you think the Dark Side will hold value over time? I've never had this concern about a Rolex. I'm debating getting rid of my GMT C and I've already turned my Panerai. Thinking about three watches for my collection. Sub no date, SS Daytona, and the Dark side. Thanks!
Hi All,No doubt this is a repeat of many earlier threads, but I did some searching and didn't get the answers I was looking for...so here goes.I've spent a number of months narrowing down my options for a 40th birthday watch for myself. I was between the 15202 and 5711 for a while, but I think I've settled on the 5712/1A. It will be my first Patek (and my only Patek for a long time!). I have a number of other watches, but only a few are truly special, and I would likely sell a couple others to help fund the 5712.I'm in Canada, so options are limited, and cross border fees can be a nightmare. I'm trying to determine the difference between buying from a true bricks-and-mortar AD (local AD has a 5712/1A in stock, $39K CDN + taxes, no discount), or a just bought from an AD somewhere and unworn for roughly $35K, and likely no tax (or minimal). So roughly a $5K delta. Keep in mind that the CDN dollar is about $0.85 to the USD right now...so $39K isn't that bad comparatively speaking. My
To compliment my D as a daily wearer thoughts informed opinions narrowed it down to these, reasoning a change!! top tier marques both IMO simple high end wearers in SS [bracelet on the AP / rubber on the Patek]regardssteve
