Patek Philippe 2532 wrist watches news:
We discuss what happens when there is no quality control before a brand announces a new product, as well as what happens when a brand (Hublot) announces a cool new product (the Antikythera watch) that will never be available for sale. I recap my review of the lovely Ulysse Nardin Freak Diavolo, and my article on Dubois-Depraz that eventually got me in trouble.Listen to the HourTime Show watch podcast episode 84 here.Download the MP3.
Below is a picture of a 1923 Hamilton with the seconds bit at 9. Hamilton sold this as a watch for women. I have searched through the Hamilton historical material to discover if Hamilton U.S. ever made a man's watch with the seconds bit at 9. The Hamilton men's watch movements were always based on the hunter configuration (983, 985) or were specifically made with the seconds bit at 6 (981). The exception, of course, is the 986 movement, where the bit, when used, would have created a winder at 3 p.m. and a seconds bit at 9. The information that I could find on men's 986 dials indicate that they were all luminous and none had a seconds register. The Hamilton advertising also supports this. Just wondering what our Hamilton experts know. The above watch is yellow gold. The dial appears to be the original enamel version.
Hi all-We just got in a great looking Girard Perregaux watch. Vintage 1945 in 18K white gold. Exhibition back. Ref. No: 25960.0.53.6056.Anyone know any background of the watch? Original retail price? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Hey guys. Im about to make my first Omega purchase - something ive been building up towards for the better part of 3 years (always thought id only be a Rolex guy, but here we are..!)I will need to make a bezel swap from Orange to Black - My planned set up is black face with orange numbers and black bezel at 42mm (basically a 2201.51), however, these don't pop up every day for a good price. I found a stella deal on an 2909 (orange bezel) so am planning on simply swapping the bezel to make my (new) dream watch. My questionIs there anyone in NYC (tried Omega already - not willing to wait 3 weeks) that i can buy/trade a black OME-082SU1702 black bezel from. Has anyone had experience doing this in NYC? Diamond District my best shot?ORShould I just go and buy one from Ofrei and knock this out myself? I have some mild experience swapping bezels. I have no desire for an orange bezel ever so would most probably immediately sell the old one.Thoughts, suggestions? Thanks and looking forward to joi
A thread started by RussW in late March of 2014 asked your preference between the two watches. There were comments indicating that, as time went on, the 5990 would be the most liked.Anyone changed his mind? How do you feel about the two watches now?
