Panerai PAM 113 wrist watches news:
I don't want to offend anyone but to me, Rolex watches have always seemed greatly overpriced and over valued. I mean, is a $5,000 Rolex really 10 times better than a $500 model from another another maker of quality watches or 20 times better than a $250 one? When I say better, I mean in terms of accuracy, reliability, and endurance. I highly doubt it. Personally, I would never pay more than $200 these days for a new watch and that would be really stretching the budget. $100 would probably be as high as I would go when I can get a reliable and highly accurate quartz model for $25 to $50 that would last for years. On antique or Vintage models, it's a different story of course. I'm talking about new.
Hi everyone,I have been followng this site for a few weeks, and now this is my first posting.I have been really looking into buying an IWC Portuguese Auto-Chrono, the one with the white face and blue strap. However, I am now wondering if there is any other possible prospect that I am overlooking. What do you think?Anything better in the same price range? People are recommeding me now JLCs, Rolex Yacht-master plat and all kinds of stuff. So far, I have a Omega Seamaster GMT and Rolex SB 50th Anniversary, so I am looking for something more "dressy".Look forward to your comments, cheers!Guillermo

Is there such a thing as a break in period on a new watch? As in should you give it several months/a couple of years to settle in before having it regulated. Or have it serviced after the first year and then move into a 3-4 year service schedule after that?
