Panerai PAM 241 wrist watches news:
I find it fascinating that Rolex chooses to name their watches as if they are heirs to a old money family fortune, e.g., Explorer II, Day-Date II, Yacht Master II, GMT Master II. Don't get me wrong...I think its a great strategy. Present the image of a great lineage of watches (which of course it is) that slowly evolves and improves with each successive generation.....but I would imagine that it is also done to keep those great Rolex model names in play. Why throw away all the marketing and intellectual property equity built up meticulously over a long period of time, right? The Explorer II sounds much better than the Spelunker II, for example. The "Boatster" just doesn't seem right for the YM. But what criteria determine when they choose to use the "II" and when they don't. Why isn't the 116710 the GMT Master III? The Deep Sea not the Sea Dweller II Deep Sea? The new WG Sub not the Submariner II? Oh well, enough of this....I have to go to work.-Ross
Breitling wannabe owner and newbe to the forum. LOT's to see here that"s for sure. I've been lurking around for bit trying to get grip on the Breitling watches to try and figure out what I want, and ALMOST ready to buy. I've noticed that some are more desirable/popular than others and would appreciate anyones opinion with respect to the one I"m looking at. It's the Chronomat BO1 SS Antarctica. I believe it is 43.5 mm and I'm just a little concerned it may be to big, me being a sawed off 5'8" 160# guy. Any thoughts, pros or cons with respect to this one? I'm also curious what a fair price for this watch would be. That's about it. Thanks a lot and look forward to getting ed-ju-cated here as well as contribute where I can. Jeff
I need to get a power supply for my Underwood three-space winder:I haven't had any luck finding one locally. Is there somewhere online that I might find one? Also, each "cell" runs on two "C" cells, which is great. However, when I push each cell all the way into the winder, onto the "socket" shown above, it seems to cut off the battery power, despite the fact that there's not a single volt or amp of AC power applied to it. Is this normal?Any and all assistance would be appreciated. Thanks!
Hi guys,I'm looking for a good match to the Orange Lamborghini :)I've been a long time fan of Volcano, and also it has more orange tone in the dial and has orange-stitches on the strap. But for some reason, AP Diver looking more modern to me. Very similar pricings, so no argue on that.Which one would you pick and why?Thank you!Salih
Hi everyone, I was looking for input from 42 mm PO wearers. I have been looking at this model for awhile, and am especially interested in the newer model, I believe the bezel has a grayish hue to it, I really like that look a lot, and was wondering how you folks who have them like the look of the watch, and the bracelet. I've had several rolexes...all gone but one now...but, have a vintage speedmaster, and am looking for a dive watch now, and this model really has my attention...could you also confirm whether it has a domed crystal, I believe it does, but, have not seen one in person.Thank you for your time!Kelly.
