Bill Paxton Wears IWC Aquatimer Chrono-Automatic Watch In Big Love Season 3
It took me the better part of season three so far to spot this watch. I knew that earlier seasons of Big Love (on HBO) had Bill Paxton (playing as character Bill Henrickson) wearing an Omega Speedmaster. This was likely out of his own collection. Season three sees him wearing something similar looking on camera (both steel with black and white faces), but a different watch. I eventually decided that it was an IWC Aquatimer Chrono-Automatic. It look a lot of pausing and staring to figure this out (trust me). This is a good choice for a man with three wives, and a ton of duties on his plate. When he is not "living the principle" the character acts as a strong businessman and Salt Lake City responsible citizen!I haven't seen him dive into water too many times (no one dives in the Great Salt Lake right?), but the IWC Aquatimer is a great choice for a multi-duty classy yet rugged watch. I'm going to need a couple of balance shafts for my 986 movements. Any body have the part number if I can find them a la carte? Alternatively, are they interchangeable with other movements if I have to shop for them that way? I'm hoping the 987 will interchange because I have a spare movement. If so, that will get me started but I'll still need at least one more.Thanks in advance.

well, I got my first big laugh of the day ......while perusing vintage watches over on the swamp......I ran across a lovely looking trench watch, with a sterling case ......while nice ...nothing funny there....it was the disclaimer that set me off....."disclaimer: If you are a novice, or unfamiliar with vintage watches, I urge you not to bid on this. Vintage watches are treacherous things & best left to those who like suffering & know what they're getting into.
