Panerai PAM87E wrist watches news:
Any other fan of this beauty present in the forum ? I love it :D Bodiz
Hey just started posting here and figured I'd ask about getting an original crystal for my watch. I mentioned in my intro I got a star crack in this not long after I got it as NOS. I was very very bummed to put it mildly. Anyway back then (early 90's) my jewelers only choice and resource was to replace it with the one it wears now. It fits great but I know it isn't org. The org was flat made of glass and well thin. Since I just wear this while in a suit and tie I doubt it'll happen again. How do I find the correct crystal? I bought the identical watch off the net b/c the guy said it had a flat glass crystal, he did say he wasn't taking it back if it wasn't the right one. Well it wasn't so now I have two. (the other one I took apart to see if I could determine what the watch model was so I could search. Well after we moved the "parts watch" (its running) is in a box so unless I take this apart I have no numbers to offer just this picture. I could get pictures of the back too if it'll he
Well, for a really silly reason. One of my guilty pleasures is reading Clive Cussler's Dirk Pitt novels for pure escapism and suspension of disbelief. And what does Dirk Pitt wear? You guessed it - a Doxa. I wonder how many Doxas have been sold because of Clive Cussler. I'll have to go back and re-read one of them to figure out what model he wears, but I seem to remember it being referred to as his trusty watch that has basically been heavily abused, but can always be relied on.
When I was at my local AD to pick up the latest Rolex Magazine Issue #2, they graciously allowed me to pre-view the installation of their new Patek boutique. There was the hint of a private invitation Galla evening, once the work is complete. Winston Sent from my iPhone 6
Just returned from an AD in Norfolk, VA. I was looking for the YM 40 with the Rhodium dial. Did not have one at any of their 12 locations. I really didnt think this watch was on the Oh My God cant find one list. I was told that while the Ceramic Daytonas are still at the top of the cant get one list in addition to the Batmans and Hulks and so forth the YM is now very hard to get and there are waiting lists. Anyone heard of this?FYI they did have a lot of SS DJs (all sizes) a couple of Milgause and a few Explorers in stock. I tried on the RG YM on the oysterflex. VERY nice!!
