It's Friday, the day we traditionally show off our Hammies. But today is also 4/11. So let's add a little something today. What's the 411 on your watch? It can be anything. Tech specs. Why you bought it. Where you found it. I'll start with my Khaki Field Auto Chrono.I first saw a watch with the Valjoux 7750 about 15 years ago, a Breitling Chrono Avenger. Back then I didn't know a Valjoux from Jean Valjean. But I was impressed with the look and feel of that watch. Back then I didn't have the money for the Breitling. Today I have other things I want to spend the money on. When I really caught the watch bug I saw other watches with the 7750 and liked the look of the dial. After visiting this forum I learned more about Hamilton and discovered the Khaki line. IMO, Hamilton has made excellent use of the 7750 in their designs.

How many Hamiltons are enough?
Coming from the Invicta forum where many members own many Invictas, more seems to be better.But here, I have to wonder how many Hamiltons are enough. I currently own 1+ (one is on order, thus the + sign).

Sign of the times I guess
I was at a charity function today and a younger person asked me "Sir, can you tell me what time it is?" Now, being called Sir...made me feel old, but I answered "Quarter after 2"With a puzzled look on his face he said, "So it's 2:25?"No watch and didn't know what quarter after meant.
