Watch slowing down...comments
Hi all,I bought a new Sub a couple months ago, and I noticed this morning that my watch slow down by about 4 hours to the current time. I forgot to wear the watch yesterday would that be the cause of slowing down?SHould i send it to the service center to look into it?It's a lovely new watch..........don't know why is this happening..Any advices?Thank you.

How to Dissasemble Cheap Mechanical Watch?
Hi,I've always been fascinated by mechanical watches, but until I discovered the cheap Chinese watches I considered them to be an impossible dream.I picked up one of the self winding mechanical watches off the internet . I quite like it; however I have a mini lathe and mill at home and have always considered the idea of "building" a watch. Machining a movement from scraps of metal is far beyond me but I've been considering machining a new case and taking the movement.This watch is cheap enough that I don't mind destroying it but I can't figure out how to get it open. I know that there are specific tools to remove the glass and that the case probably pries open but I figured I should ask around before I start wailing on it with a hammer.Whats the easiest way to get at the movement? My current best plan is play with a hammer and chisel for a while then break out the dremel.

How to determine a good price?
Hi guys,My question is, how do you go about determining a good price for a pre owned watch? I know to look at current offerings but they range considerably. I am mainly looking for the Submariner 116619. I have seen offerings ranging from $21,500 - $30,000. How big of a role does year of manufacture play? All the listings that I have seen have been complete with box and papers. Naturally I want to get the newest watch for the lowest price. I just don't know how much of a premium it is worth for a watch that is a few years newer?
