- This watch is so pretty. I love the bracelet and the detail of the face. However, unfortunately it is a face and sometimes hard to read. It is easy to confuse the hands.

Mare Nostrum is the chronograph that Officine Panerai supplied to the Italian Navy in 1943. Very few prototypes were produced ¨C almost certainly three in total ¨C of which first all trace, and then all relative documentation, was lost following the flood that hit Florence in 1966. Panerai’s discovery of one of the prototypes – now part of the collections at the Officine Panerai Museum in Florence – enabled creation of a new Mare Nostrum in a single edition of just 99 examples that reproduce the original almost exactly, with a few improvements. This new edition measures 52mm in diameter and, unlike the original, it offers a sapphire display back. The case is actually tonneau shaped, but looks round due to the wide, flat bezel. The watch is guaranteed watertight to 30 meters, consistent with the original, which was not intended for use under water.Like the original, this new Mare Nostrum uses a hand-wound mechanism: OP XXV caliber, deriving from a Minerva caliber from Pa

Hi guys, i havent been here in a long time, but i figured i come by and ask this question. I went to BUSA this past Thursday and dropped off my E for service (it died a few months ago). They had said they would e-mail me with an estimate within a few days and found an est. was sent to me yesterday but it had no dollar amount. I e-mailed back to ask for an est. with the amount and got a responce in 10min. (wow),anyway she said it was the correct est. because the watch was under warranty ???I purchased it used from someone on another forum and i know it is about 6 years old...so why would it still be under warranty? It was serviced a few years ago (i think it was 3 yrs),but i just dont know what the warranty period is on either the last service, and or the factory original warranty???Does anyone know the answer to this? Thanks in advance, and have a great weekend!
