It's a hypothetical question I know since the belief and expectation is that Omega will eventually phase out the 2500 in favour of the cal 8500 and its' derivatives. The targeted changeover as many of you know is in 2010.During the time when both movements remain in production which surely cannot be that long a period, the first and obvious advantage from a consumer's point of view would be that the entry point into the world of the Co-Axial movement will have been maintained at a reasonable level. Please help me choose; Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding 15400ST vs 15450ST
Hello All,I am interested in purchasing an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding and am trying to select between the 15400ST and 15450ST. For comparison purposes, I believe that the Rolex Day-Date 40 fits my 6.65 (rather flat across the top) wrist well.I believe that I am somewhat between sizes and that the 15202ST would likely be the best fit, but regret the higher price, lack of features such as a quick-set date and particularly the lack of a seconds hand. I'm looking for a part time job and my AD is hiring. Yes, I know that working at an AD is no glorious job, but then again I don't know many jobs that are. I think my passion for watches and more specifically Rolex will make my time there much more enjoyable.My question: Do AD employees get a discount? If so, how big are we talking?I feel like this isn't a question I should ask them directly so I felt here was a good place to search for an answer.Its not a deal breaker, but its something that could be a big bonus.
