Patek Philippe 4897G wrist watches news:
This isn't any original research on my part and I just happened to come across them while trying to find some information on the Lord Elgins with the 760 movements (plus, I think I followed some links from Genejockey's Elgin blog as well). Some of this may well have been posted, but for those who haven't seen it, it might well be enlightening. I'll just post a bit from each page and then link them.[ELGIN] Forgotten Masterpieces: The Last ElginsThe American Automatics:Along with the 607 and 618, the Elgin 760 and 761 have the sad honor of being the only American made automatic movements. Even as they were being developed, other American companies were giving in to the Swiss dominance of the market. Does anyone know what watch was worn by Robert Downey Jr. in Iron Man? You could catch glimpses of it while he was working in his garage on his suit. I was thinking it was the new Tag; but, could not say for sure.
Hi allI'm looking to place an order for the new Blue dial 15450 but I don't have any AP relationships so don't fancy my chances of being very successful. I've put my name down with one AD but they wouldn't take a deposit which strengthens my view that I am going to get shunted down the list as they prioritise the customers they know.Anyone on here able (and willing) to help?Cheers, Vince
I have been looking for the next watch to add to my current rotation and have narrowed it down to the Sub C (have not decided date or no date) or the Sea Dweller 16600. I know this has been asked before but I did not see anything recent when I searched. I like the idea of the updated bracelet and the glidelock clasp but I love the looks of the 16600. For those that have or have had both, what are your thoughts? Thanks for your input, below is a picture of my current rotation Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
