New Historic Panerai Radiomir PAN000380 arrived.
Now even though Panerai describes this as 'historic' it was manufactured in 2014. Radiomir case shape, Black Seal logo on dial as well as 'Black Seal'. COSC certified with papers, and manuals. Panerai considers this historic in that it has not changed the case shape in introduced in 1938. Leather strap, dial has only 3-6-12 numerals, small seconds at 9. Indices for the remaining five minute blocks. Very clean legible dial and readable at night. It has a 45 mm diameter. Sits nicely on my wrist.Having a smaller wrist I was curious to see how it would fit. Also nice to have a Panerai boutique on the LV strip. Waterproof to 100 meters.

New complication fantasy
I have a challenge for the superstar watchmakers that want to innovate. Seeing as it is time-change weekend...How about a mechanical watch that, in addition to having a perpetual calandar, automatically changes for daylight savings time twice a year. It would have a lever to engage/disengage, like a minute repeater, in case you were out of the US or in AZ or HI. Precisely at 2am it changes and you can see the hour hand (flyback, of course) change to the new hour.Of course, the Swiss watchmakers are going to dismiss me out of hand, but maybe some domestic guys like RGM or Bozeman can rise to the occasion. How hard could it be? Once you've got the perpetual calandar, an amazing feat in its own right, throw in a gear or two and their you are.

5146G - Cream or Slate
So it's time for my next Patek. I have decided on the 5146G but I can't decide on the dial - cream or slate. I have only seen the slate in person and it's a beautiful color, pretty unique. However I know that the cream is more classic Patek (dials in the white/off white family)Which dial may stand the test of time better?Thoughts? Preferences?

Which Annual Calendar?
Hi all,Recently I've got my eye on a 5726a and am selling a few pieces to fund the watch. The seller also told me of a mint 5146P which is about 20% more but is quintessentially PP. Given that annual calendars seem so much more affordable than the perpetuals, which annual calendar would you prefer and why?

Hello new to the forum and just got a Ceramic Sub as a present yesterday... I always dreamed of having a rolex and said one day I will buy one... Well yesterday my family said lets go to the mall and walk around... I had no clue what they were up to... We walked around and past by Mayors/Rolex, they said we want to look at rings... Im like huh did i win???? Family came up to me and said life is short and you always wanted a heirloom to wear for the rest of your life and you finally beat cancer, you deserve it... Of course when i saw the price for 8500 plus tax i was like nooooo i feel bad you spending your money on me, we can go get a pre owned one for maybe $7k to $7500 plus tax... Of course no box or warranty card but comes with 1 year warranty... They said nope we want you to be the original owner
