Patek Philippe 4897G-001 wrist watches news:
The memorable Romain Jerome Spacecraft has a new family member and it's inspired by the caped crusader from Gotham City. The Romain Jerome Spacecraft: Batman is an edgy update on the original model that split opinion with its bizarre shape and novel time indication system. I'm all for uniqueness and instant identifiability and so can't help but admire the Romain Jerome Spacecraft. That's in spite of the fact that it looks like a futuristic kitchen appliance from the 1970sor maybe a badass VCR. I can't decide which is more appropriate, but either way, I like it because it is different and makes me feel inexplicably nostalgic despite its modernity. This watch is part of the horological icons range and is an official collaboration between Romain Jerome and Warner Bros. Consumer Products on behalf of DC Entertainment. Because its creation has been legitimately sanctioned, this watch is sure to have great crossover appeal. The Romain Jerome Spacecraft: Batman, is a gritty re-imagining of the
Then say "Guten Tag" to my new "Meistertaucher!" FedEx just dropped this baby off and I couldn't wait to share! It's an Oris Pro-Regulator "Der Meistertaucher" which I understand means "master diver" in German. This is my first regulator dial arrangement and it's much easier to read than I thought it would be. Everything about it is absolutely superb! The titanium feels different from the stainless I'm used to both in weight and feel. The bezel rotates very smoothly and the crown and helium release valve screw in and out perfectly. The strap is rubber, which is a nice change from all of my diver bracelets, but I will definitely need to pick up a titanium bracelet for it in the near future. I was surprised at the quality of the rubber strap. It's very comfortable and smells like candy . Even the little roll pin placeholders for the "links" look like they're made of titanium. I was a little surprised by how big the bracelet was. I had to cut the strap down to the very last li
uncrate/men/gear/cell...h-watch-phone/i, personally, do not care for it. don't get me wrong, it's kind of cool (in that geeky sort of way) and i'm sure it will be a hit with it's intended market. however, as a WIS, i like wearing watches. how are you ever supposed to wear a watch when you have to wear your phone? i suppose this will finally put an end to all the nay syaers who don't wear watches because they have cell phones. now the two are one! not to mention for those of us who coordinate our watches with whatever we happen to be wearing that day, what do you do with this thing?
This past week I had the pleasure of re-visiting the place of my birth: Guam, in the Mariana Islands. My father lives in Japan, and to those in Japan it's an easier trip than say Hawai'i for warm weather (it's snowing in Japan today). He planned a two day father & son birthday trip, something we haven't done in many, many years. (it's been at least 13-14 years since I've seen this tiny little island).Anyways, the main point of the story is, for my birthday he surprised me with a Stainless Steel Diver. As obscure as this island is, they have a few watch boutiques, and AP is one of them (I believe it is operated under the wing of Audemars Piguet Japan, my warranty book lists Japan as the origin...the CEO of AP Japan was actually visiting the shop while I was browsing). My father had visited the island two months ago, and had them set it aside. I knew there was an AP boutique based on some recon I did before going and suggested we walk in, and to my surprise it was already waiting for
