Patek Philippe 3919G-001 wrist watches news:
Even though the wristwatch long ago supplanted it in popularity, the classical pocketwatch continues to soldier on as a novelty in the world of timepieces, beloved by some collectors for their old-school appeal and large, decorative movements, and many of today’s watch brands have used the style to express not only their historical cachet but also their horological expertise. Here we shine the spotlight on some recently released modern pocketwatches from popular wristwatch brands. One of the year’s most complicated pocketwatches comes from Cartier, a brand that in recent years has dedicated itself to strengthening its haute horlogerie cred. The Cartier Grand Complication Skeleton is in a white-gold case, 59.2 mm in diameter, with openworked Roman numerals elegantly carved from the white gold surface of the case. It contains a manual-winding manufacture movement, Caliber 9436 MC, which is visible from both the front and back, and is made up of 457 total parts. The watch has a
From the same individual who brought us this Seiko modded to look like an MKII watch, comes this newest creation. Before discussing this latest creation, it is good to know about the impetus for all this. Watch modding is a very niche but dedicated hobby. Basically, it is modifying aspects of one watch, such as the hands, dial, color, or anything else - in order to look like another watch, or something totally unique. Some like the custom look, some simply want that watch that just missed being perfect, to be perfect. The good news is that there are lots of available watch out there, and the clever modder can amaze you working with a good 'base' watch. It could boggle your mind with possibilities. I am still waiting for the perfect Seiko R

Just curious as to whether anyone has ever had trouble with the magnets in their iPad smart cover magnetizing their mechanical watches. I'm always paranoid about holding my iPad in my left hand when the cover is folded back. I haven had any trouble as of yet, but I value the experience of others in such matters.
